Addicted to the New Wave of British Heavy Metal at a young age, axc began his musical journey at age 12. With a Les Paul and a Marshall 1/2 stack (turned up to 10), music entered the veins, triggering a drug like chemical reaction forming a compulsive addiction to the beat of the Drums (The Drums, the Drums, the Drums). This early musical journey led to all things "Loud & Dark"... As the genre faded, emerging influences of EDM/ Dark Wave crept into the psyche, and still lives there today.
In 2000, repulsed by the state of the music industry, axc struggled with the corporate music positioning of one hit wonders and the ubiquitous Rap / Metal genre that littered the airwaves... Influenced by the Heavy, Loud and Dark thunder of metal, an encounter with DJ Mike Von Wesselhoft, provided an exposure to COSMIC GATE, as well as other harder hitting Trance influences.
It became clear the Gibson Les Paul guitar had served it's time, and needed to be put on ice. Replacing one instrument for another, Technics 1200s, CDJ-1000s, EFX, Mixers, G5s, etc., are now the instruments of choice. With maturity, and a desire for an alternative to the constant 140BPM pubescent orgasm of Trance, House Emerged as a prolonged experience to the sexual energy of the music (that saves our soul)...
As for the "What to expect when you hear a live set?" question... Just look at life, if your life has been a LIVING HELL, with a few moments of HEAVEN laced throughout, then you'll identify... If everyday you wake up and it's Disneyland, then this music probably won't register. Some people believe Pain creates Art. Hmmmm, without a struggle, why would you ever dig deep into your soul for a breakthrough? Ever wonder why Prince Charles could have NEVER, EVER been a member of the SEX PISTOLS... Because everyday he wakes up, it's fukin Disneyland... Think About it...
