Originally from Berlin (Germany), Amadeus has been pushing the sounds of Ragga / Jungle / Drum N' Bass for a decade now. He rose up playing clubs and raves all over Colorado, where he went to college, from massive "Roofless Productions" and "Together Productions" Raves to small but popular clubs such as SOMA in Boulder (Mixmag voted Top Ten club in the USA). His first high impact mix-CD "Phonik Boom" was released on Organik Recordings (now defunct) in 2000 and the following release "Midsummer Night Sessions" (Organik Recordings, 2001) was praised by BPM Magazine as "The music is sooo fine - drum and bass bliss. Props for not being the typical band wagon monkey. If this guy is in your neighborhood give him some props!" issue 02/01, and garnered him runner-up in the North-American DJ contest "Unleash the Beats". Currently living in Brooklyn, he travels throughout the US, Canada and Europe to perform his unique style of Ragga and Hip Hop infused Drum N' Bass, Dubwise and Ragga Jungle.
Not only active behind the decks he co-hosted "Plan B Dnb Sundays" in NYC from 2006-2008, a drum n' bass weekly with national and international guests, the ongoing “One Drop” Reggae event series as well a new monthly coming up called “King City Sundays”. He is also the mind behind SURVIVAL STORY - The Ragga Jungle Compilation (http://www.survivalstory.net), with a second volume dropping in 2009. He puts out mix-CDs on the regular to great resonance in the scene (download them for free at www.musicv2.com/artist/amadeus), works on tunes including a collaboration with new school ragga jungle legend Krinjah (free tunes for download at http://www.virb.com/amadeus). He just completed his 4th consecutive yearly tour which brought him to Germany, Belgium, Holland, Romania and the Czech Republic (tour blog: http://amadeus030.wordpress.com/2008/06/11/amadeus-euro-tour-2008-blog). Amadeus is part of the worldwide Touchcrew, a collective of DJ's, Producers, Musicians, Designers, Artists, MC's and Graffiti Artists, as well has half of the Tag Team KING CITY ROCKAZ with DJ / Producer I-Cue (Ingenious Music, Konkrete Jungle, Jungle Sky).
Known for highly energetic performances, Amadeus blends anything from high energy hipstep rollers to ragga-jungle, with an emphasis on reggae / dancehall and hip hop remixes. Always comin' correct with loads of unreleased dubplates from international producers his unique sound is defined by versatility and crowd interaction, always inciting great respect and overall dancehall madness.

Hitchhiking Through Dub
Description:
It's midnight at a deserted spaceport in the galaxy of dub. Though it doesn’t really matter, you've been traveling for so long, night and day are not in your vocabulary anymore. As you finish a sorry alien excuse for coffee you quickly glance across the dirty glass and steel counter of the diner, searching for your next ride. The journey through dub is not over yet. Whose ship will you be able to hitch a ride on next ? What species will the pilot be ? Will he, she or it fly fast or slow ? Take shortcuts through a dangerous meteor shower or just use nearby moons for gravitational slingshots to conserve the precious fuel ? Either way, the mission is to continue exploring this unique galaxy, find and collect new sounds, discover new beats and ride the aural wave of fresh dub in all its forms. This is the journey that is HITCHHIKING THROUGH DUB.

"Dubwise For President" is pure dubwise bliss, rootsy riddims over chill drum n' bass, with melodically sung vocals and great echo chambered out dubby trumpets. A few likkle dancefloor tunes in there but all in all a feel good relaxed summer mix.

Description:
This mix cd has gotten me more bookings a few years back than any other previous mix. I remember making it in my basement apartment and my landlords who live above me calling after 5 minutes into the mix that the bass was way too loud. so i had to take a day off from work to get this done because night and weekend times just didn't work for them. Anyways.

Live Old School Ragga Jungle Set
Description:
I used to host a weekly every Sunday at Plan B in the NYC for 1.5 years until March 2008. And we're bringing it back as a monthly! It’s a chill drum n’ bass night, free, $4 drafts and just an all around relaxing atmosphere. We have local, national and international talent rolling through on the regular. More info coming soon. Here is an Old School Ragga Jungle Set of mine, that was recorded live @ Plan B. A few glitches here and there (chattin, beers, excuses excuses lol) but a really fun set altogether.
