Started dj'ing '01 and first show early '04, but found DnB quickly after hearing the word rave back in '98. 2 years later, acquiring a basic setup, and first vinyl. Now in 2008, with over 2,500 tunes on vinyl, Big Basha is always fully equiped with sounds for everyone. Focusing on progressive sounds, but capable of many mixing techniques, full of fresh vinyl, but can dig up the good old days.
In fall ’07, he was contracted to host his own show on CFXRnetradio.com, and just recently celebrated being added to the Modulated NY Roster. Local turntable wizard, Big Basha, falls nothing short of impressing the crowd with his impervious selection, quality control on the mixer and continuous mixing ability! Mashing up style upon styles, his set eliminates any boredom. Known mostly for spinning DNB, but has picked up some genres between 125 & 145 bpm. Dubstep, being his most favorite of the slower tempos, ultimately brings his set to absolute RUDENESS!! Look out for some Breaks, Bassline & Grime & more…
Arriving back in 2004, Basha started in the local scene by aiding a weekly event that needed dedication & more heads. His crew came through every week to 658 Bar & Lounge along with the help from out of town dj’s Reva T, Bones Jones, K Ray & Kix. The ‘Caution Thursday’s Crew’ made an impact, and in his ultimate & most grateful favor, it was mostly accredited to Basha. Help from residents ben:e:j, Jah Creation MC, G Roc, J Scutti Blvd, Anihlist and Jeenam secured the night as the only DnB night in Buffalo for a year straight.
Playing a major part in his development in the city was playing on 91.3 FM WBNY, Buffalo State College's radio station, with G-Roc & J Scutti as Fiya Sounds. Thanks to them two, he was able to remain a stable pressence on the FM dial for 3 years. Although, in the second half of that time there, Perceptor (Underground FM on 91.3 ), who had been handed the show from the predicessors making moves at the time, Cable (telluric/good looking/gamma ray), The Concept, Dan Ratel, Stevie Washington, Milkdudd & Valiant MC. Underground FM joined forces with Fiya Sounds to form Underfiya Sessions. By the it was primarily Perceptor & Basha. G-Roc was there for a considerable amount but focusing on work & eventually moving to Florida and J Scutti moving back to Rochester had left the door open for hosting sessions with other djs in the area and causing a small eruption of interest in our local DNB scene again.
Since then, Basha has organized one off's as Frosty Tone Ent. with Collective Consciousness @ Off The Wall. Alongside SLR productions in 2006 organized another Thursday weekly @ Tantra. In 2007, Club Marcella's was the venue & now throwing the night with SLR, as well as Collective Consciouness. Eventually working soley with Collective @ Faso's '06-07, Club Diablo '06-07, and The Elmwood Lounge '07 into '08. Most recently, contracted by CFXRNetRadio.com to host a bi-weekly internet broadcast & selected as part of the starting roster for Modulated Entertainment NY.

Being a resident for OPM Lounge played a large part as well. After the night @ 658, Basha had gained the respect of many locals and was brought on as a resident @ OPM Lounge. Playing alongside djs like Die, Aphrodite and Craze. Also, forming Frosty Tone at this time and putting on the ‘Human Resource Tour’ @ OPM Lounge w/ Evol Intent. It was a 2 year run before the club was closed & the residents were forced to find a new venue to smash…
As a resident for Opium Lounge from 2005-2007, TweekNasty Radio 2005-2007, Fiya Sounds 2005, Underfiya Sessions 2006-2007 & now into 2008, riding for Modulated Entertainment NY. Not to mention, hosting a radio show on CFXRnetradio.com, the future is upon you...
