Carter comes from a background surrounded largely by music. The son of a jazz and blues drummer with a degree in professional sound engineering, Carter's father always provided plenty of musical influence while raising his son in the musically rich city of Nashville, TN.
With a love for music fueled by rock, punk rock, metal, hip hop, jazz, blues, big beat, drum n bass, breakbeats, techno, house, classical symphony, and an assortment of anything else that happens to be playing... Carter doesn't see music in terms of drawn lines defining what should and should not be. The philosophy? Music is art that imitates life. With this, Carter strives to bring a flavor with his sets that transcends the monotonous catagorization and sub-genre-fication that has become rampant (and stagnant) in todays musical society.
Focusing mainly on drum n bass as his method of delivery, Carter uses the wide assortment of sounds and styles available to his advantage in creating an atmosphere drenched in flavor. Sometimes rough, sometimes smooth, sometimes energized, sometimes mellow... always engaging. The goal is to please the ears and free the soul through the divine gift and liberating powers of music.
