DJ Ciro
It's About The Music
Having started his career more than fifteen years ago, DJ Ciro may be one of New Jersey's original Nightclub DJ's still in the business. After getting several jobs in smaller venues, Ciro would hit his stride as one of the New Jersey shores best DJ's and was one of the first to introduce Freestyle and House Music to crowds of dancers at some of the best nightclubs, including Club Hollywood, Panache, Masquerade in Seaside Heights, and clubs in north Jersey and the popular Metro 700 on Long Island. Ciro plays Progressive, Tribal, Electro and Funky House Music .
What sets DJ Ciro apart from other nightclub DJ's is his incredible mixing abilities. Influenced by some of the best DJ's and studio mixers of the time (Louie Vega, John Jellybean Benitez and Frankie Knuckles,) along with having an incredible ear for music, DJ Ciro's unique style takes you beyond the simple art of just matching the beats of two songs, instead using an underlying harmony or the percussions to create a smooth and often undetectable transition. This style of mixing requires knowing your music very well.
Ciro put his career on hold in 2000 to pursue other intrests, but the desire to DJ again was reignited on New Years Eve 2005 at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City when Ciro had the opprotunity to hear DJ Louie D'Vito. "I remember being so impressed by these incredible smooth mixes. I knew right there and then what I wanted to do."
Learning to use the latest technology in the DJ booth proved to be easy. But being the perfectionist he is, Ciro would take close to a year to learn everything and re-develop a new style before making his debut on April 21st at Club Mansion in Bricktown, NJ.
"Anyone can play a good song and fill a dance floor, that's easy... and it's also the DJ's job. I want people to have fun and experience something different. I want them to enjoy in me what I have always enjoyed in a good nightclub DJ, what I enjoyed that New years Eve, wheather they're on the dance floor or just tapping thier feet at the bar."

Description:
Recorded live at Club Atlantis on June 20th, this is the first of three consecutive 75 minute sets covering most of the evening. This set is from 10 to 11:15pm and has some really good melodic sounding Progressive House tracks, including a new one by Nadia Ali - formally of Iio, Rachael Starr and Kaskade. While the more party tracks will come in Atlantis II, I think you'll enjoy this... making for a good listening experience.

"The Tunnel - A Tribute To DJ Louie Vega"
Description:
Having carefully chosen new Dance Music with a late 80's sound, along with borrowing the mixing style of my biggest influence, my new mixset pays homage to one of New York City's more unique nightclubs of the late 80's - early 90's as well as the city's best DJ's. For anyone from the New York/Metro area a Saturday night meant either being at the Tunnel or recording live broadcasts on WKTU. The idea of this mixset is to create a dance mix which sounds like some of my old cassettes of those broadcasts using current music.
There are great new Dance Tracks in this mix by Stonebridge and Crystal Waters, along with the hot remakes of Gypsy Woman and Automatic. The set opens with the street sounds of 11th Avenue which I have put together, as a crowd make thier way into "Tunnel". Enjoy
