Started playing classical guitar at the age of five, and have played guitar, bass and double bass in various bands, jazz ensembles and orchestras.

I started home-producing on an Atari ST back in the early nineties, but now record in my PC-based home studio running Sonar, plus various plugins.

I've recently started playing live again after a few years' break, having teamed up with a female singer. We'll be posting some of our tracks here very shortly...

The Florist
Description:
This is a 90 second track I wrote for a coursework assignment. It is supposed to be based on the style of the Hot Club of France (Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt), portraying a quirky French florist cycling through the streets of Paris. I am playing guitars and double bass (Trilogy, in this case), and many thanks to Janet Rowe for playing violin.

The Chef
Description:
The second assignment for a course I'm slowly completing (The Florist being the first); this 90 second track is supposed to be based on the style of Cinema Paradiso (Morricone), portraying an Italian chef travelling through the countryside sourcing ingredients... (use your imagination)

The Art Restorer
Description:
The third (and final) piece for a course assignment, this 90 second track - based on the style of Mark Isham's 'The Browning Version' soundtrack (buy it - it's very good) - portrays a restorer, restoring... well... things that need to be restored. Like stained glass windows apparently. Again, use your imagination...

Prohibido
Description:
This was inspired by the incidental music used for a documentary I watched about Auschwitz, so not a particularly cheerful track, shall we say.

I just want to say to Emma-Jane Vinyard, that her much made me cry and smile. I was in a journeny with my soul soaring between the past, present and looking forward for the future. I repeat the music again and again and write my feelings into songs. But frankly she doesn't know. WELL DONE;-)

Wow! Nice work! This is really well produced and beautiful music... Just listening to Midnight RV. Its cool and funky. Also really enjoyed "Within". Nice to see someone mostly using real instruments (or real sounding!?) Would love to hear what you think of my cinematic music on my website: www.chrisbouchard.tk

'Ready or Not' as gots the funk! brilliant, i love that sytnth-like brass sound. and the middle part too. this lady used to be a music teacher y'know, lucky students... bet they learned a bloody lot from her. i certainly have and i've only know her three months! more of my faves are the jazzy tracks and the one's with the spanish guitars, very, very good!
