I'm a 27 year old science teacher from Bradford, West Yorkshire.  I'm fanatical about electronic music so when I'm not teaching, I'll probably be practicing on my decks, doing a mixtape, tinkering on Ableton, record shopping or buying new tunes online.  I have quite a lot of professional DJ experience but when the bar I was resident at closed, the gigs dried up and I just don't have the time to be out there promoting myself like I used to.  I mainly play house music in it's various forms but like to indulge in breaks and techno too to give my sets a bit of variation.  I also enjoy making mixtapes of old hip-hop and club tracks which allows me to experiment with different methods of mixing.   I'm currently concentrating on posting my mixes online to let DJ's, music fans and hopefully the occasional promoter hear them.

Description:
I started this mix off with an old favourite from Central Living on the Naked Music label.  I usually heavily edit and shorten my opening tracks so I can start building up the mix nice and early but I honestly couldn't find anywhere to make a cut in this track without losing a key element.  It clocks in at over seven minutes but it's so nicely produced and well arranged that I don't think it gets boring.  
I used mostly deep house at the start but as always, things quickly get darker as the mix progresses, taking in some twisted techno from Surgeon, Droido and Supermayer as well as some more progressive electronica from Wagon Cookin' and Juergen Paape.  I tried to vary the styles a bit and mix in vocal tracks with dub tracks to keep things interesting.  It's the first cut of the mix so if you have any suggestions or feedback please let me know as I will probably go in and make changes based on your comments before burning to CD.

Around this time every year if I'm not already in Ibiza I am getting frustrated waiting to get there. Work days seem to drag longer than usual and all I can think about is chilling on Salinas beach with a cold beer in my hand before getting ready for a night on the Space terrace. This mix is my dreaming of Ibiza mix. It's mostly upfront music I've bought in the last few months and even though it's an Ibiza mix of sorts, I've stuck to house and techno rather than the more typical Balearic stuff.

Description:
Since I got my own place last year I have hosted a few crazy house parties which I always use as an opportunity to dust off the turntables and annoy the neighbours. There is no music policy, just straight up block rockers which is the idea behind this mix. Nothing is off limits or too cheesy, providing I like it, it goes in. It's not supposed to be cool, it's not supposed to be hip, just a few tunes to make people smile.  I think I'm gonna add another 30 minutes on the end when I get chance but for now, please let me know what you think. This mix is taking it back to my usual style of slow bumping house and techno. I like to keep things below 125bpm most of the time and play tracks with bassbin bothering sub bass. I started out with the intention of making a mix for the dance floor but every track I added just took it deeper and deeper. I recently scanned my entire digital library of tunes and used the key results to try my first harmonic mix. I have used jumps of +2 keys to build energy in parts and -2 to lower it down again. I like the transitions between tracks as there are less key clashes.

Description:
I've had a few people get in touch recently saying they have enjoyed my mixes but would like to hear something more aggressive. I tend to make mixtapes of fairly downtempo deep house so I decided to make a new CD full of stuff that I would play out in a peak time set. It's not particularly cutting edge music, just good, tried and tested solid house and breaks. It starts with my usual style of bumping house and builds up into techno from Par Grindvik, booty bass from The Martin Brothers and good non-commercial electro from Ethan, Freeland and Switch. Most of you will be familiar with a lot of the tunes but these are some of my favourites that I always keep around for those certain parties. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed mixing it.
