I have a wide range of musical influences, from early Rock n Roll like Led Zeppelin to Queen, The Beatles to the more laid back sounds of Bob Marley & The Wailers and great bands such as Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, The Verve. I was introduced into dance music at the age of 10 and remember the likes of Leftfield, Moby, Fatboy Slim, The Prodigy, Chicane. In secondary school I was introduced to happy hardcore from people like Vibes, Hixxy, Dougal which then led me onto Jungle and Drum and Bass.
The first Drum and Bass album I heard was Roni Size & Reprazent's "New Forms" which was a revolutionary album and really captivated me into the world of Drum and Bass. The first ever mix I heard was Grooverider's Pure Drum and Bass back in 2000 and hearing such tunes as Dillinja's "Hard Noize" and Ed Rush & Optical's "Bacteria" was the foundation for my undying passion into the music. LTJ Bukem Logical Progression 1 was the next mix I owened and educated me a whole deal about the more ambient, musical styles of Drum and Bass and is still a mix I positively buzz off today. I feel like I missed out on a whole era of Jungle when it was evolving in the early 90's and the progression into Drum and Bass taking place in Bristol, London and emerging round the rest of the UK. However I do feel lucky enough to have become aware of the scene when I did, just after the old Ed Rush & Optical 'Wormhole' Sound of warbling, rolling basslines, around the time when tunes like Bad Company's 'The Nine', Ed Rush & Optical & Fierce's 'Alien Girl' and Stakka & Skynet's massive 'Clockwork LP' were being released.
Today there are so many great producers I could never fit them all inside this box but I have to shout the following people for making such exquisite tunes.. Calyx, Calibre, Marcus Intalex, High Contrast, Klute, Teebee, Noisia, Black Sun Empire, Gridlok, Hive, Dom, Mampi Swift, Bad Company, Ed Rush & Optical, Fierce, Break, Seba, Paradox, Unknown Error, Dieselboy, Die, Duo Infernale, Logistics to name but a few...Big up to everyone who I haven't mentioned here, your tunes have influenced and inspired me than no other.

Hi there, my name is Conrad aka Hydrophonics. I started Djing Drum and Bass in 2002 and a couple of years later could be found in the dark corners of warehouse parties in Bristol, London and Wales, playing on free party systems such as Storm, Dissident, Dirt and NPC.
I have moved about in the search for Drum and Bass and lived in Bournemouth and more recently Nottingham, England for the past couple of years where I was lucky enough to get booked for Detonate's 8th birthday which hosted Ram Records 15th Birthday tour, where I played alongside Andy C, Red One and Sub Focus. I have played at nights up and down the country such as Detonate, Deckadance, Kombination Funk, Destiny, Rotation, Re:Volve, and Velocity and last November I got the chance to take over the decks from Friction at Detonation. I have played on internet radio stations kindafunkyradio.com, FLY FM.co.uk and URN 1350.net and now have a bi-weekly show on www.kunninmindz.com on Tuesday nights from 8pm-10pm...
The music scene in Nottingham is one of the largest and most thriving outside of Bristol and London and there are so many good good Djs and producers it's been a privaledge to be part of it. I have now started producing my own music and am spending a lot of my time in the studio, so watch this space...;)
I'm off to Australia in 2009 where I will pursue my love for drum and bass..
I always try to keep my tune selection varied and thank all the great producers that have made my record collection what it is today. My early influences of Drum and Bass were the likes of Dillinja, Ed Rush & Optical, Usual Suspects, Die, Bukem, Twisted Anger, Bad Company to name a few...My tates have grown with my age and unlike when I started Djing 6 years ago the more liquid side of Drum and Bass finds it's way into my sets, people like High Contrast, Logistics, Omnio Trio, Makoto, Seba, Paradox and Klute are bringing so much great music to the scene. My name is meant to represent my mixing style, flowing like ("the sound of water"), although the name actually came from a moment of inspiration involving my brother, some plants and a fish tank ;)
I love nothing better than playing out and am always on the lookout for new places to visit and people to meet, as well as new music to play. Thanks very much for visiting my page and I hope you enjoy all the mixes. Let us know if you want me to send a C.D of any of my mixes out to you.

Recorded shortly before Christmas dinner 2008, this mix is a collection of heavy and rolling tunes from past, present and future. With only a few forthcoming bits from the likes0of AK1200, Gridlok, Black Sun Empire and State Of Mind, this one's still fairly fresh with massive tunes like The Code remix and Breaks' mighty Bambatta remix, but also delves deeper into the archives of drum and bass with Ed Rush, Optical & Fierces' Cutslo remix, Skynet Emphoria and the classic De Ja Vu track named Mutant.. This one's a personal favourite, enjoy..

This mix features a lot from the album on Fokuz recordings of the same name. It starts with a beautiful tune from Spinor, into two Seba feat Robert Manos tunes, followed smoothly by the interesting and choppy sounds of Fanus' "The Unseen". The mix progresses through the more rolling sounds of Drum and Bass, as far away from the Skeletor mixes of late as possible! There aren't many new tunes on here as some of these mixes just had to be done for the record..Although watch out for the brilliant new tune "Antarctica" on levitated...

Description:
The main man Terraform aka Bassryder delivering a fine selection of classic jungle from as early as 92'. Representing Nottingham, the Bassryder smashes it thouroughly for the first hour, taking us on a history lesson throughout the ages to present day. He brings us up to date with an exclusive dub, one of his own tracks called "Return of The Mutant", a tearing amen assault with an agressive bassline, it contains a very well cut sample from the mighty "Champion Sound". I then get on the decks and we go b2b for the last hour for some mighty dancefloor madness...
Prepare for the Terraform...

The second part to the mix entilted "Skeletor". This mix carries on where the last one left off. Dark, dangerous and frightening from start to finish, a lot of these mixes I played at Detonation last November. As it was 5am, this set is more commonly known as "The Graveyard Set", as you will find from this mix the name is quite appropriate. It starts with a double drop of two of my favourite dark tunes and moves swiflty onto some big tunes from people such as Technical Itch, Break, Unknown Error and features a tunes from the brilliant album "Cruel & Unusual" by Black Sun Empire. There are a couple of devastating pieces previously unreleased by Proktah and Phace as well as the odd classic as usual ;_ There is one nice melodic breakdown towards the end of this mix, but don't be fooled, it's short lived and soon it's back to the original nastiness of Skeletor. You've been warned!

The first part of the mix entitled "Skeletor". It starts with a long intro, winding up to a ferocious double drop of Dom & Opticals' remix of Quadrant 6 and Gridloks' Heatwave and the mood doesn't brighten at all throughout. It features tunes from my favourite producers from the darker side of Drum and Bass such as, Kryptic Minds & Leon Switch, Noisia and Dylan & Friction. This mix is not for the faint hearted- you've been warned... ;)
