DJ James Conn aka SiR was first introduced to house music in 1998 at a July 4th weekend event at the famous Club at Firestone in Orlando, Florida. The sounds that pulsed from the speakers that July 4th moved him so deeply that he instantly knew he would need to share those sounds others. Immediately he bought the tools he would need to share his love of house music and began his quest. - As a Florida native, James can trace his musical roots to his father who performed in a 70’s Chicago based rock band called the Squeeze. His brother had a vinyl collection of rock and heavy metal bands such as the Beatles, Guns & Roses, and Iron Maiden that always played too loud for the neighbors. He then grew up listening to the sounds of Too Short, Ice Cube, and 2 Live Crew which prepared him for the hard hitting bass and funky grooves he loves to play. - Known as DJ SiR, he began performing at house parties throughout the Orlando and Daytona Beach scene. He quickly became known for laying down the most wicked breakbeat sets that rocked the house till the sun came up. As his music knowledge and mixing skills advanced he began performing at many of the local night clubs such as Sol-Ray’s and Barbarella’s in Daytona Beach. Soon after that he earned residencies at Barbarella’s and one of the greatest nights in Orlando history, Thursday Night at the ROXY. Eventually performing at venues such as: 600 North, Club FUEL, Razzle’s, Fusion, and TwilightGrooves.com to name a few. - After a brief leave of absence from the house scene, James has returned to the world of dance music with a new high energy sound and even greater passion to share his love of house music. Growing into a multi-genre DJ, James Conn crushes the dance floor with nasty bass lines and a masterfully orchestrated symphony of: House, Techno, Electro, Progressive, Tech House, Minimal, and the Breakbeats that started it all. Most recently DJ James Conn has performed at Nikki Beach’s Club Passion in Los Cabos, Mexico and MetroPark in Tampa, Florida. - - For more information contact DJ James Conn at: 813-215-6169 rjconn007@yahoo.com www.myspace.com/djsir www.musicV2.com/artist/jamesconn
