Having fell in love with Dance Music at the age of 8, I knew my life would never be the same again. Tracks like Theme from S-Express, Beat Dis by Bomb the b ass, LFO, Yazz & the Hip House sounds of the day firmly converted me into Electronic Dance Music. Following this period of more commercial dance hits, Rave tapes from the likes of Top Buzz & Jumping Jack Frost led to my love for the Rave Scene. Later, DJ's Like Ratpack, Krome & Time, Lenny Dee, Clarkee, SY, Brisk & Billy Bunter influenced my style of both music and mixing. Having collected about 500 tapes and noticing other lads from school get into mixing, I decided to take the plunge and bought a pair of hifi turntables with primitive pitch and platter stability and a used Realistic DJ mixer. 2 Years later at the age of 17 I made my 1st proper demo tape of proffessional standards, named "Revolution PT 1" Named after my best track at the time, as produced by Hardcore Legend DJ / MC Sharkey. Having learned to mix Hardcore to a good standard & having played at a few local parties, I then met fellow DJ Gav Porteous, whom was running local night mainly focused on House & Trance, offering me a slot after hearing my mix tape. At this period of time (98/99), my style had gone into the direction of Trancecore, the Hard Dance / Hardcore crossover genre pioneered by Billy Bunter / Rob Vandan & Sharkey. It was then that I started playing House / Hard Dance / Hard NRG / Trancecore crossover sets on a regular basis, winning the support of regulars at the small regular event. This led to me playing at other outdoor events locally & gaining local popularity and a reputation for being a good DJ. Following a move to Cornwall in '99, I sparsely played out (There was no scene there!) although still followed the Scene, preffering the sounds of Tinrib & Nu Energy's Sharkey & Energy and Classic Old Skool Hardcore. During this time major changes took place career wise & spiritually too! Not only did I move from stydying Sound Engineering to Youth Work, I also gave my life to Jesus & started follwing him. These decisions made the DJ career second place in my life but has remained a passion I still enjoy very much. In Dec 2006, I started a Old Skool night in Oxford & have helped produce for GB FM during Greenbelt festival alongside getting involved with a local Urban Radio station OX4FM in Oxford. I have recently established a Clubbing night in Cornwall "Uplift SW"
In 2000 I produced a re-edit of an Oldskool Rave megamix, distributed via the Napster network. The mix was very popular and was distributed worldwide, although i didnt get any credit or recognition for it really.
Nowadays i am living in Cornwall & working part time as a youth worker & pursuing my music by taking a music tech course & have now started working on my own tracks and remixes. I would recomend anyone who wants to make their own material to do such a course as its very helpful. Experience so far... Oscars Nightclub (Petersfield) 1997 (Happy Hardcore) Spice Island (Pre Club bar) Petersfield 1998/99 (House/ Early hard dance / trancecore) The Air Baloon (OldSkool D&B / Hardcore Night) 2001 Club Eclipse (Truro) 2002 (Hard dance / Hardcore) Ruskin College S.U (Oxford) 2003 The Elm Tree (Oxford) 2004 (Oldskool 88-92 night) Radio Greenbelt, August 2005 (Lunchtime show producer) Club Escape (Oxford) 2005 (Playing club classics) Mangos (Oxford) 2006 (Playing oldskool Hardcore) Space - Truro 2008

Description:
This mix was made round my mates house whilst he was asleep! I used 2 technics and an intimidation apex mixer (Rotary knobs) Tis made it harder to make quick cuts / kills but i pulled it off never the less. To me this mix is below my usual high standards but just about cuts it!
