Dj DipVertigo and Mc J-Tec unified in early 2006 and formed Maximum Moves. This duo has since rocked crowds throughout Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange County bringing a performance level of drum and bass that is guaranteed to shock and awe any crowd. Dip’s track selection along with his precise double drops and bass-line switches, all while singing and mcing, will get any audience moving. Combined with J-Tec’s energetic lyricism, Maximums Moves offers a different and new flavor to drum and bass.

In May 2006 the duo released their debut mix CD “Maximum Moves: Volume One” with the help of Los Angeles based drum and bass crew Grapevinez. On May 19, 2006 Grapevinez presented “Legendz” Maximum Moves’s official CD release party. They shared the stage with some of L.A.’s finest djing and MC talent as well as UK talent J-Majik. 2006 was definitely the year of Maximum Moves. In October the duo played at the annual Halloween massive; Monster Massive after having only released their debut cd a few months earlier. They shared the stage with the talent of Klute, Chase & Status, Sub Focus, AK 1200 and MC Verse.

In 2007 Maximum Moves was invited to play at Respect, LA’s longest lasting drum n bass weekly. February 22nd Maximum Moves truly showed something different to the Los Angeles drum n bass scene. The reviews from this show jump started their 2007 plans to venture outside of California bringing their unique sound to everyone in the US and around the world. Maximum Moves latest project Maximum Moves Volume 2 on 3: “Journey to a Special Place” was released at Grapevinez newest event RIZE showcasing the growth in Dip’s mixing and skill on three decks as well as on the microphone. 2007 also marked a year of recognition within the L.A. Drum N Bass scene, with memorable appearances at APX 1 & CRS?’s famous, I Love L.A. parties, alongside AMC & JO S and concluding with a special back 2 back set with DJ Scooba of the Junglist Platoon, at Tonz of Drumz. In December of 2007 Maximum Moves was also blessed to make an appearance on MC XYZ’s world renowned Back2Back Sessions, alongside AMC of Almost Famous.

It’s now 2008 and Maximum Moves continues to rise up the latter, capturing new fans on a daily basis and receiving constant recognition from top dogs within the drum n bass world. With DipVertigo and J-Tec both receiving residencies at TIMELESS and ADRENALINE, you can find a part of Maximum Moves on just about any bill in the L.A. and O.C. areas, whether it being a rave or a drum n bass exclusive. The time has come to break free from convention and routine. Witness this new brand of live drum n bass at a venue near you!!!

Maximum Moves Volume 2 on 3
Description:
Maximum Moves is back at it again and ready to take you on a journey. With Volume One we gave you a little taste of something different introducing a dj/mc combination, with DJ DipVertigo flowing both spoken and sung vocals back to back MC J-TEC. Volume One covered a wide variety of styles within drum n bass from liquid to the darker side with double drops galore. Now with Volume 2 on 3 Journey to a Special Place, Dip's added a third deck, bringing even more double drops, triple-drops, vocal samples, bassline samples and his newly discovered maximum drops, making it possible to bust 40 records in 75 minutes seamlessly.  MC J-TEC also ups his game using double the amount of vocals, including an X-MEN flow on Mutants, which includes many of the names of the original Marvel characters, and a tracklist flow over Special Place, using the titles of every track used in the mix to create a story without missing a beat. Our suggestion is follow the tracklist and see for yourself, it is truely a lyrical gem. With a third deck, double the tracks, double the vocals from both artists, lyrcial remix's and tracks of  Volume One and an increase in tempo, Maximum Moves Volume 2 on 3 Journey to a Special Place is a one-of-a-kind dj/mc mix that will blow you away!!! This is what you get LIVE.

B2B Sessions Vol. XXII Maximum Moves Part 1
Description:
Regardless on your opinion of MCs in drum n bass I think most will agree (and many will request) that when a DJ and MC consistently perform and play together it makes for a more professional showcase and as one of the top SoCal DJ/MC duos, Maximum Moves does this and beyond. Dip Vertigo (DJ) and J-Tec (MC) bring a dancefloor rinsin' set to volume 22 of the back2back series. Mix fresh cuts, percision mixes, triple drops, exclusive Maximum Moves drops and an MC who actually has lyrical content and you got Maximum Moves. Dip Vertigo is precise with his mixes and his tune selection is one for the dancefloor heads...meanwhile J-Tec gives us a range of topical lyrics from a salute to his fellow mcs, party rockin' and more. Even more interesting is that Dip Vertigo gets on the microphone to show off his lyrical skills in the mix. This is nothing new for those who have seen this duo live as they trade off verbal punches pon the mic. Check out this mix as these two take DJ/MC combos to their own level. (XYZ)
