Nick Beatdown is a DJ, networker, promoter, dancer and writer born and raised in Houston, Texas. He was first exposed to the electronic dance music scene in early 2000 and has kept a presence since by playing, promoting, throwing, attending and writing about events. Originally drawn in by the sound of techno, house, and breaks, Nick B! quickly found out that his true passion resided in drum & bass.

In 2002 he moved to Tucson, Arizona where he continued to perfect his own style behind the decks. In the desert he found a niche throwing down hip-hop cuts and layering pop acapellas over dark DnB tracks and was a regular guest at DJ J.Armand’s Electronic Sunday’s at Sharks Night Club. In June of 2005 he teamed up with MC Epockolypse to form the crew known as the Repeat Offendaz. In December of 2007 he returned to Houston and teamed up with DJ Inno from Pensacola, Florida and the Mechanikal Element Foundation The two held down a weekly residency at Dean's Credit Clothing until May of 2008 when Beatdown traveled to Europe for the first time and after some serious grinding played at club events in Budapest and Berlin.

Upon his return to the states in September of 2008 he started a blog covering current events in the Houston scene which he dubbed The Felonious Filez. He has also been dabbling more and more on the production side of the industry. Despite his addiction to drum and bass, he continues to explore all genres of electronic music.

Having played several massive, underground and respected club events in Arizona, Texas, California, Germany & Hungary, he has proven time and time again that he possesses the ability to read a crowd and get the dance floor moving. With many projects in the works, Nick B! shows no signs of slowing down his contribution to the scene and continues pushing it and himself into the public eye.
