I love pretty much the whole broad spectrum of dance music except relentlessly cheesey and trite music especially R&B lol Mainly into house, techno, breaks and trance as that's what I like to listen to as well as usually mix. DJ-influence wise my main heroes are and will always be Carl Cox, Sasha and John Digweed, Paul van Dyk, Meat Katie and most recently, Sandor van Doorn, Armin van Buuren and Tom Middleton.

I have only basic CD decks and a mixer (although am actually without one at this present time) so am veering into computer mixing territory with the aid of programs like Virtual DJ and Mixmeister. But give me hands on manual mixing any day coz you just can't beat the feeling of creating a mix with your bare hands and it's obviously a lot more technically challenging! But I think it shouldn't make a difference as to what set up you use as long as your creating great mixes and short of letting someone else do it for you for example, it doesn't make an ounce of difference in my eyes if the end result justifies the means :) The plan is to learn how to use Ableton at some stage as well as some production software so I can finally start making some tunes of my own!
