A perrenial second-room (and occasional mainstage) favorite of the BC rave-scene, the8thchild (a.k.a. DJ Pants) has returned to his native Dallas to carve out a new niche for himself: a one-man army of modern and classic electronica, attempting to rescue the rap-beleaguered citizens of Dallas from themselves. challenge: undertaken.

Though known to spin everything from house to trance to drum'n'bass (though not in public), th8th has firmly embraced the 2-step/UK Garage movement ever since hearing his first Sunship track back in the mid-90s. complementing his massive collection of current and severely oldskool garridge with a blend of shuffly and clicky deep house, th8th creates a bodymoving experience unlike any other... by confusing you. Should i shake my ass? Should i nod my head? Mmmm... i'll just bump & shuffle and call it even.

With over 10 years of DJ experience, the one thing th8th is NOT about is a hype-fest. he's spun shows up and down the West Coast of Canada and the US, Germany, and Czech Republic. he's opened for the likes of Paul Johnson, Johnny Fiasco, Freaky Chakra (one of the first electronic artists he ever listened to, LONG before even attempting to DJ), and countless other headliners... but who cares? so has everyone else. th8th is about the music. aaaaand watching sexy ladies shake it.
