Musical Influences
I grew up in the country. This basically means that my biggest infulences were mix cds from DJs that I've never seen. Miss Kittin, Erol Alkan, Jacques Lu Cont, and Jon Carter to name a few. Since then I've expanded quite a bit. Jacksonville locals like Justin Franklin, Dr. Strangelove, Ted Lane, and Joey Proctor opened up my ears to more underground sounds and since then it's just been all over the place. Musically I'm all over the place.

I first wanted to DJ after hearing Fatboy Slim's Big Beat Boutique mix cd. That was this first time it dawned on me that turntable's wern't just for scratching but could be used for mixing. I grew up in King William Va which really didn't have shit for dance music (or a music store at all) and this was a revelation for me. Then Christmas when I was 16 my mom bought me turntables and I really took to them, soon learning that vinyl was as adictive as crack. I spent a lot of time practicing, playing the ocassional house party, and partying at the Buzzlife parties in DC when possible.
   In 2003 I went off and did something stupid by joining the Navy. The Navy laid me out in Jacksonville Florida where I started playing at a small open decks night at Eclipse. Nights like this led me to small gigs at places like Fuel and Coffee Grinder. I found myself partying at a little club called Eclate that managed to blossom into a incredible night of house music with local support from the best Jacksonville had to offer. This night opened up my eyes to subtle mixing and the art of building a night. I'd hate to say it but it really made my djing take a huge turn in terms of the style of music I play now. By the time I left Jacksonville I had played at many of it's clubs including Eclate, The Atlantic, The Globe, Bourben Street, Fuel, Ocean 60, Eclipse, and I also held a residence at a free local at The Coffee Grinder.
   Since leaving Jacksoville for Silverdale Washington gigs have dried up a little bit but things are finally starting to pick up (it helps when you finally turn 21). I've managed to pull off 2 mixes on www.protonradio.com (A premier internet radio station), a FM mix for Richmond's WRIR-LP 97.3FM (go indie radio!), a couple of gigs in Richmond VA, and now I'm finally starting to book gigs in Seattle. Holla!
