                        MC J-TEC  aka Jonathan Mendoza
Maximum Moves, Grapevinez International, Dire Clothing, Los Angeles

MC J-TEC burst on to the Los Angeles drum and bass scene in early 2003  when he stepped on the stage at California Love with long time friend DJ Lefty. J-TEC has an amazing lyrical talent that had him quickly recognized as one of LA’s next up and coming MC’s. His slick combination of double timing and soulful rhymes brings a fresh and elite sound anytime he graces the mic. Early in his career his talent was matched with the DJing talents of Total Science and Baron at Jungle Bellz in 2004. Over the next 2 ½ years J-TEC expanded his lyricism by utilizing such influences as MC Skibadee, 2Shy MC, Eksman and hip hop influence DJ Quik while performing at various events throughout Southern California, the Inland Empire, Orange County and San Diego. In August of 2005 J-TEC was introduced to Maurice Capillaire, also known as the world renowned MCMC. In addition to meeting one of his main career influences and idols, J-TEC was also introduced to DJ DipVertigo and was welcomed into Los Angeles based crew Grapevinez. Since his start J-TEC has worked very closely with MC Dre and MCMC developing his MCing into the unique mind blowing style you hear today. Over the years he has rocked many stages with amazing talent such as Shy FX, Maldini of Bad Company UK, L Double, J-Majik, Wickaman, Infiltrata, Nightstalker, Congo Natty, Shimon, Distroded Minds, Chrissy Chriss,Chase & Status, Dj SS, The great Nicky Blackmarket, and various other local AMAZING LA talent. His amazing lyrical speed has been compared to that of Skibadee and Eksman while his flow construction is comparable to none. Early in 2006 J-TEC joined talents with DJ DipVertigo and formed Maximum Moves. Combining his unique quick style with Dip’s master mixing skills they brought a new fresh groove to the Los Angeles drum and bass scene. In May of 2006 Maximum Moves release their debut mixed cd “Maximum Moves: Volume One”, which showcased superior mixing and lyrical talent from both DJ and MC. As Maximum Moves, J-TEC and Dip shared the drum and bass stage with such talent as SubFocus, Klute, Chase and Status and MC Verse at the annual Los Angeles Halloween massive, Monster Massive. Maximum Moves has rocked stages all over southern California and San Diego with their high energy that is guaranteed to excite any audience. With bookings throughout the first months of 2007 J-TEC has plans to venture outside of California and release “Maximum Moves: Volume 2 on 3”. J-TEC’s style is constantly evolving giving him a trademark Los Angeles sound. With powerful lyrical delivery and a distinct style, J-TEC has gained the respect of many of LA’s top djs and mcs.
