It didn’t take long for this hard working DJ to make his mark. After just a few short months behind the decks Whizard was holding down a residency in Hollywood, quickly building a reputation for his live sets filled with infectious energy, technical mixing, and the ability to read the crowd and get the dancefloor moving. Even when temporarily shifting focus to his full-time studies at UCLA (graduating June, ’03), Whizard kept a strong presence by playing, promoting, and throwing events. During this time he launched UCLA Radio’s only drum&bass show, Magnetik Space Lab Radio, which ran for over three years and broadcasted live sets from almost every Socal d&b artist, and many top DJs around the nation.

Whizard has become legendary for his series of mixed CDs (djwhizard.com) which have circulated throughout the country, bringing in scores of new fans, and introducing many to the sounds of drum & bass for the first time. Creating a heavy demand for himself Whizard has played top calibre events, performing on lineups from Rosarito , Mexico to Honolulu , Hawaii with heavyweights such as John B, Nu:Tone, Adam F, J Majik, Distorted Mindz, Silver, Calyx, Concord Dawn, JuJu, Marcus Intalex, Reid Speed, Nicky Blackmarket, Infiltrata, DJ Craze, Photek, Pendulum, Gridlok, D-Bridge, Nightstalker, and many more.

Well known for championing the reggae influenced dubwise drum & bass sound in Los Angeles, thanks to tens of thousands of hits for his series of Imperial Dub mixes online, it should be noted that Whizard is a very versatile DJ who throws down sets mashing up everything from liquid funk to the dark and nasty! Giving back to the community through a series of benefit drum&bass parties, Sets 4 Vets, Whizard has helped raise thousands of dollars in aid for US Veterans.
